The Scholarship Fund of Alexandria is a nonprofit organization providing free college, career, and financial aid advising to Alexandria City Public School families in grades 6 through 12. Additionally, we raise money to provide financial need-based scholarships for T.C. Williams graduates. Since 1986, we have awarded over $13 million in new and renewal scholarships to 4,500 students.

The Scholarship Fund's College Advisers host large group evening and weekend events, provide classroom presentations, and meet with students and families one-on-one in our offices at the T.C. Williams King Street campus. Our doors are open to all, but we specifically seek to serve first-generation, lower-income families.

Investing in the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria helps every student believe that college is possible and overcome barriers to college access and success. We walk with families all the way from middle school through college graduation, and 93 cents of every $1 raised goes directly to scholarships. 58% of scholarship recipients are Pell Grant eligible, and 46% will be the first in their family to graduate from college, changing the trajectory of their family for generations to come.

Students, families, and T.C. Williams alumni can stop by the Scholarship Fund office to speak with us anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for assistance with:

• Developing a plan to become a competitive college applicant

• Evaluating career options

• Finding colleges that match students' academic performance, career interests, and family financial circumstances

• Brainstorming and editing college essays

• Writing a résumé

• Preparing for the SAT/ACT

• Searching for scholarships

• Filling out financial aid applications (FAFSA and CSS/Financial Aid Profile)

• Completing the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria Application

• Understanding financial aid options for undocumented and international students
